Enable audio service on Windows Server 2019/2022 and later

If you need to enable audio services on a Windows Server, you can follow these steps to ensure the audio functionality is operational.

 

Steps to Enable Audio Service

1. Open the Services Management Console

  1. Press Win + R to open the Run dialog.
  2. Type services.msc and press Enter.

2. Locate the Windows Audio Service

  1. In the Services window, scroll down to find the service named Windows Audio.
  2. Double-click on the Windows Audio service to open its properties.

3. Configure the Startup Type

  1. In the Properties window, under the General tab, find the Startup type dropdown.
  2. Set the Startup type to Automatic.
  3. Click the Apply button.

4. Start the Service

  1. Under the Service status section, click the Start button to activate the service.
  2. Once the service starts successfully, click OK to close the window.
