What ports are blocked on VPS hosting?

We block ports on VPS hosting for security reasons.

  • Ports that are blocked by default on unmanaged VPS:

    - SMTP Port (25)

SMTP Port is blocked permanently on entry-level VPS plans, however, for higher plans, we can make exceptions. Please contact sales for eligibility.

To send emails from your VPS, we recommend using a dedicated email deliverability platform (e.g., Sendgrid or Mailgun) for better deliverability and IP reputation handling.

  • Ports that are permanently blocked on all plans and the block can't be lifted.

    - TCP/UDP Port 17
    - TCP/UDP Port 19
    - TCP/UDP Port 1900
    - TCP/UDP Port 54313
    - TCP/UDP Port 11211
