Why my shared hosting account hits resources limits (RAM, IO, CPU, etc..)

Although we allocate generous resources to hosting plans, including Basic and Pro plans (thanks to our powerful dedicated servers), a few users may notice they occasionally hit their resource limits. This is often caused by resource-intensive WordPress plugins, particularly those related to backups or site duplication, which tend to consume high I/O, CPU, and RAM.

In contrast, users on our Ultimate plan rarely experience such issues, as it offers significantly more resources to handle heavier workloads.

It's worth noting that HostRound provides free daily and weekly backups. You can also use our WordPress Manager to back up your website regularly without it counting towards your hosting account's resource limits.

While using backup plugins is your choice, we offer these alternatives to help keep your allocated resources dedicated to running your website smoothly.

If you use these resource-intensive plugins frequently, you may consider tuning the plugin settings to use fewer resources or upgrading to a higher plan to ensure smooth performance.

If you don’t use resource-intensive plugins or you don't use too many plugins and still notice that your shared hosting account is frequently hitting resource limits, it could be a sign that your current plan is no longer suitable for your hosted projects, and upgrading may be the best solution.
